Cross Training

I decided that since my lower leg ankle/shin issue is not getting better that it would be beneficial to take some time off running and concentrate on cross training.  I don't like not running.  I don't know the wisdom in trying a 6 hour race if my legs are not feeling good.  I am hoping that some time off will get me on the right track.  On my Tuesday morning run I didn't wear my compression calf sleeves because they get so hot.  I determined that the calf sleeves really help.  My leg was feeling worse after the run.  Last summer I trained for a marathon through a hamstring issue.  I did take some time off which I think really helped.

Today is the first day of summer!  It has been over 90 degrees for a month.  I feel like we have already endured a month of summer.  At least I am used to the heat.
