New Shoes

Today I did a 16 mile run/walk from Sherman Beach to Rockwood Reservation.  I asked Dr. Lauren if I should run through pain.  I have a high pain tolerance and I am worried about injuring myself further.  She said as long as my gait didn't change I should be okay to run long.  I paid attention to my running form and did not note any changes so I pushed on through.  When I trained for St. George I was dealing with a hamstring issue.  Every run was painful but I pushed through.  My foot hurt on this run but it didn't get worse.  At home afterward I did my runner's yoga, foam rolling and ice.

Today's run was 16 miles at an average pace of 10:48.  I did a 4/1 run/walk through out.

Today I ran in a brand new pair of Brooks Glycerins.  These will be my race day shoes.  They felt good.

Less than a month until Boston.  Yikes!  I'm not ready.
