Gordon did not turn into a hurricane. It is a tropical storm that is headed this way. We are supposed to get 3 to 4 inches of rain the next couple days. I decided to take a run this morning before it rained. Since yesterday was a speed work of sorts today was supposed to be easy. I ran in the subdivision. After a mile warm up I threw some strides into my run. I got 4 miles in before work.
I don't know who names hurricanes. Back in 2004 the worst hurricane of the year was named Jean. It made me sad that Jean was so destructive. I don't think they should name hurricanes after people. I think they should name them after inanimate objects like hurricane pencil or hurricane toilet or hurricane shoelace. If they did that no one would be sad because their namesake storm was bad.
