Today was an easy run with hills/trails. Easy and hills should not be used in the same sentence. There is nothing easy about hills. I drove to the top of the Rock Hollow Trail. Just as I arrived it started to rain. It wasn't raining hard and there was no lightening so I went ahead and ran. It quit raining within the first mile. I ran parts of the new trails on both sides of the Rock Hollow for a total of 4.6 miles.
A friend of mine stopped by this afternoon. She mentioned that she had gone to central Ohio to visit family last week. I told her that I was going to Cincinnati to run the Flying Pig Marathon. She laughed uncontrollably and asked, "Did you know that Cincinnati is hilly?" I said said with confidence,"we have been training for hills." She looked at me like I was nuts.
I'm not sure that the recovery run yesterday did anything to promote recovery. I need the rest day tomorrow.
