Baseball

Today is the first Cardinal game of the season.  I hope they score a lot of runs.  To score a run they only need to run 360 feet.  The outfielders usually run around a bit.  In a whole baseball game they don't run a far distance.  I like watching baseball.  These are professionals whose job is to stay healthy and play games.  They have professional trainers and medical staff to keep them healthy.  It always amazes me that many of these professionals who should be in tip top shape get injured.  These injuries include common things like plantar fasciitis, hamstring pulls, ankle strains, etc.  Our Marathon training  plan is devised so there are rest days and easy days between hard work outs to keep us healthy.  I need to stick to the plan to keep healthy.  Today was a rest day.  Jim and I took a walk on the trail early this morning.  I rested as planned.

One week until the Go St. Louis Half Marathon.  I feel strong with my training.  I am going to make it a point this week to get plenty sleep, hydrate and eat well this week.
