Today's workout was Yasso 800s. I was excited about this workout because it is a classic marathon workout. The elite runners do Yasso 800s. I am doing the same workout as the professionals. It makes me feel like a real runner instead of a 61 year old office worker who runs sometimes. I ran 6 repeats between 4:01 and 4:08 with the last one being the fastest. The original workout had 8 repeats but it was cut back to 6 because of the half marathon this weekend. I feel I could have done two more.
Jim went with me today. He ran his own version of 800s. He ran two repeats with a warm up and cool down. He did great.
